Embroidery is the most popular branding type for caps as it is the most durable and looks great on caps. Depending on the artwork, screenprinting or heat transfer can also be done. If you are doing to do a print on the front of the cap, you will have to choose a 5-panel as it is not a good idea to print over a seam. 

 

Embroidery cost works on stitch count, so the more complicated the logo, the more expensive it will be. Embroidery incurs a set-up fee per logo.
